This special day highlights the real-world impact of electromagnetic engineering through public engagement, education, innovation, and community outreach.

Celebrated worldwide every year on 13th May, this day encourages IEEE chapters across the globe to organize activities throughout the week, including workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and networking events that make these technologies visible, relatable, and inspiring to society at large.

                      Financial Support

                      Local MTT-S and AP-S chapters are encouraged to utilize their available chapter funds to organize activities. In addition, augmentation financial support of up to USD 200 per event will be available to support chapter initiatives.

                      MTT-S and AP-S invite chapters around the world to take part in IEEE Antenna & Microwave Tech Day, celebrated annually on 13th May. While the main celebration is on this day, chapters are welcome to plan events throughout the week to maximize participation. The 2026 theme is “Wireless for Humanity.”.

                      This is your opportunity to showcase the impact of electromagnetic technologies in everyday life, from connectivity and healthcare to sensing, sustainability, and disaster resilience. Chapters are encouraged to create events that engage, educate, and inspire both the general public and the engineering community.
