Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Dr. h. c. mult. Ulrich L. Rohde – the impressive list of academic titles held by this extraordinary individual has grown by one more: On October 20, 2026, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) awarded Ulrich L. Rohde the Distinguished Affiliated Professorship (DAP) during a ceremony held in the electrical and computer engineering building of the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology (CIT) at the Garching research campus. As the son of one of the two founders of Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG, Ulrich L. Rohde initially headed the Rohde & Schwarz branch in the United States. He subsequently founded additional companies in the field of microwave CAD technology as well as in the development and manufacture of microwave components.
