Biography
Tyler Liebsch received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Physics from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in 2012, 2014, and 2020, respectively. His graduate research focused on: metastable states, phase coexistence, & interphase boundaries in perovskite ferroelectrics.
After school, he worked for two years as a magnetic design engineer creating custom, high frequency power transformers at BH Electronics in Marshall, MN. In 2022, he joined the Advanced RF ICs and µ-Systems department at Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) as a Postdoctoral Appointee. He continued to support SNL: as an electrical engineer through AKIMA Infrastructure Services from 2024-2026, and currently as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at SNL. In these roles, he has used multi-physics simulations to support initial RF designs and finalized heterogeneous integration efforts.
