Biography
Seth J Wilk (S’99–M’06–SM’14) graduated with a bachelors from the College of New Jersey in 2002 and then was a graduate of the National Science Foundation’s Ph.D. program Integrated Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) in the Biomolecular Nanotechnology program at Arizona State University in 2005.
Dr. Wilk has worked with startup RF Micropower and Arizona State University as Adjunct Faculty since early 2006 to build the business and commercialize a patented silicon MESFET technology. His main focus is on CAD model development and RF designs using the MESFET on low voltage CMOS processes. Dr. Wilk has authored a number of papers including a recent one presented at RFIC 2015 showcasing an updated Angelov GaN model with improved gate leakage equations used for RF power amplifier applications. In addition to research, Dr. Wilk has successfully written and directed a number of Small Business Innovative Research grants which have helped to fund the company.
Seth lives in Austin TX and is Chair of the Central Texas Circuits and Systems and Solid State Circuits IEEE chapter there. It has recently won Chapter of the Year 2014 from the CAS society. Dr. Wilk won the 2015 MTT-S Tatsou Itoh Award for the paper titled 32 dBm Power Amplifier on 45 nm SOI CMOS.
