Biography
Leonardo Sandrolini is an Associate Professor and the Scientific Coordinator of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory (LACEM) of the Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering “Guglielmo Marconi” (DEI), University of Bologna. His research interests are in the areas of electromagnetic compatibility (electromagnetic shielding, electromagnetic couplings, electromagnetic characterization of materials, electromagnetic interference in switching converters, electromagnetic interference in railways), electrical characterization of energy sources and wireless power transfer with resonant inductive coupling. He authored about 140 papers published in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences.
He is an IEEE Senior Member and a member of the IEEE EMC Society Technical Committees TC 7 “Low Frequency EMC” and SC 1 “Smart Grid Support and EMC issues” and of the IEEE MTT Society Technical Committee MTT-26 “Wireless Energy Transfer and Conversion”. He is also a Member of Subcommittees SC 210/77 B “High-frequency phenomena” and SC 210 A “Radiodisturbance: measurement techniques and limits” of the CEI TC 210 (Electromagnetic Compatibility).
