Biography

Ki R. Shin (S’09-M’15) is an RF design engineer at Qorvo Inc. and adjunct faculty at Colorado Technical University. He received the B.S. degree from Handong University, in 2004, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, in 2014. From 2005 to 2008, he was an RF system engineer with LG Electronics Mobile R&D Center. From 2008 to 2014, he was with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, as a graduate research assistant. From 2014 to 2021, he was a Principal RF design engineer at ON Semiconductor Integrated Passive Device/Custom Foundry Business Unit. From 2020 to 2022, he was an assistant professor at the department of Physics, Computer Science, and Engineering in Houghton University. In 2021, he joined the Advanced Solutions Business Unit at Qorvo Inc. as a Staff RF design engineer. In 2022, he joined the Computer Science, Engineering, and Technology department at Colorado Technical University as an assistant professor.

His research interests include integrated circuits, microwave resonators and filters, Silicon/Glass integrated passive devices, high power waveguide/cavity devices, and RF module/laminate systems. He is a member of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society, and the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society.
