Biography
José-María Muñoz-Ferreras (M’15) was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1981. He received the degree in telecommunication engineering and the Ph. D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, in 2004 and 2008, respectively.
He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Signal Theory and Communications, University of Alcalá, Alcalá de Henares, Spain. His current research interests include radar signal processing, advanced radar systems and concepts, and microwave/RF circuits and systems, specifically focusing on high-resolution inverse synthetic aperture radar images, and the design and validation of radar systems for short-range applications.
Dr. Muñoz-Ferreras is a member of the IEEE MTT-S Biological Effects and Medical Applications (MTT-28) Technical Committee and a reviewer for several IEEE and IET publications. He serves as a member of the Technical Review Board of the IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, the IEEE Radar Conference, the European Radar Conference, and the IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium.
