Biography
Gowrish B., is Assistant Professor at Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at IIT Roorkee since September 2021. He completed his Ph.D. in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in April 2021. Prior to this position, he had the opportunity to work as Scientist / Engineer at Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Satellite Centre, Bangalore from 2014 till 2017. Earlier to this, he was in Cypress Semiconductors as Systems Engineer. He completed his M.Tech in RF Design & Technology in CARE, IIT Delhi in 2013. He is member of IEEE, MTT Society.
His current areas of research are design of tunable waveguide filters, dielectric resonator filters, co-axial cavity filters for satellite and base-station applications, passive component design using waveguide, rect-ax and microstrip technologies. He has worked on NRD Guide at 60 GHz, power combiners for Doherty power amplifiers, PCB antennas at 2.4 GHz. He has 31 publications till date including 16 conference and 15 journals. He has 2 US patent applications and 2 Indian patent applications. He is the recipient of IETE Student Journal Award – 2016 and 2018, and IEEE IMS 2019 Advanced Industry Paper Award.
