Biography
Born in Seoul, Korea, received BS from Electronics Department Seoul National University M.S. and PhD, Electrical Engineering, University of Texas at Austin and Carnegie-Mellon University SMTS Central Research Labs. TI (1981- 1989)
Currently, Chong Yul Lee Professor Department of Electrical Engineering, Director of the Microwave Application Research Center, Pohang University of Science and Technology.
Working in the field of microwave and millimeter-wave circuits(MMIC), devices and transmitters.
He has developed linear power amplifiers for base-station applications based on Doherty power amplifier and digital base-band error correction architectures, and for handset power amplifiers based on HBT and MOSFET.
He is a lifetime member of Korean academy of science and technology and also a member of national academy of engineering of Korea.
He is a IEEE fellow, AdComm member of MTT, and a distinguished microwave lecture of the society.
