As we enter 2025, the IEEE Microwave and Wireless Technology Letters (MWTL) (formerly IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters) continues to serve as a premier venue for cutting-edge research and development in RF/microwave and wireless technologies. It is an honour and a privilege to take on the role of Editor-in-Chief, and I look forward to working alongside our editorial team to guide MWTL through this exciting period of rapid technological innovations, global collaboration, and increased competition.

MWTL: A Platform for Innovation and Impact

MWTL is recognized for its fast-track publication, high-quality research, and broad impact across the RF/microwave, millimeter-wave, and wireless communities. The journal is a critical link between theory and application, providing researchers with a dynamic platform to share novel ideas that shape academia and industry.

The increasing demand for 5G/6G networks, advanced materials, artificial intelligence, medical and health services, smart environments, the Internet of Things (IoT),  quantum computing, sensing and radar, and wireless power transfer has broadened the scope of microwave and wireless engineering beyond traditional communication systems. As a result, MWTL is more vital than ever, fostering interdisciplinary advancements that bridge these emerging and conventional areas.
