WiM Forum at RFM 2025: Breaking Barriers, Building Futures
The 10th IEEE International RF and Microwave Conference (RFM 2025), held from 17 to 18 September 2025 at the Bahang Bay Hotel, Penang, Malaysia, marked a milestone anniversary for the region’s RF and microwave community. Among the event’s many highlights were the Women in Microwaves (WiM) Forum, which carried the inspiring theme “Breaking Barriers, Building Futures: Women in Microwaves.”
Organized by the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S)/IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S)/IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society (EMC) Malaysia Joint Chapter with support from the MTT-S, the WiM Forum aimed to celebrate women’s contributions to microwave engineering while addressing the importance of inclusion, mentorship, and leadership.
