Inspiring WIE Session in Conjunction With MJRWT2024
Our February column provides highlights and key insights from the WiE Session held at Overview of the 2024 Malaysia–Japan Workshop on Radio Technology:
The idea for this event was initiated by the 2025 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation Women in Engineering (WIE) committee, led by Prof. Qiowei Yuan from Tohoku Institute of Technology, Dr. Yuko Rikuta from Nihon Dengyo Kosaku Co. (Japan), Dr. Nanaho Kawata from Antenna Giken (Japan), Associate Prof. Ir. Dr. Kamilia Kamardin from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and Associate Prof. Ir. Dr. Fauziahanim Che Seman from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. The forum-style event emphasized learning the distinct viewpoints of individuals from many countries, particularly women and encouraged diversity and inclusivity to foster a healthy working environment.
