Biography
Satyam Choudhary is currently pursuing a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electromagnetics, Fusion and Space Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He completed his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, affiliated with MAKAUT, India. His research interests include RF and Microwave Engineering, Antenna Design, Terahertz Metamaterials, Microwave Sensors, Sub-THz Waveguide Technologies, Electromagnetic Simulations and Biomedical Applications.
He has gained valuable research experience through internships at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Department of Space, where he worked on Ridge Gap Waveguide technologies for sub-terahertz satellite communication, shared-aperture antenna arrays, and wireless power transfer systems. He also served as an Application Development Intern at SustainEvo, developing AI-powered mobile solutions for precision agriculture using satellite data.
Beyond research, Satyam is an active IEEE volunteer and leader. He serves as a Student Representative & Committee Member of IEEE MTT-S SIGHT Sub-Committee and Convenor of the IEEE MTT-S Region 10 Digital Affairs Team. He previously served as Chairperson of the IEEE IEM Student Branch and Chairperson of the IEEE IEM MTT-S Student Branch Chapter, and has contributed to numerous IEEE initiatives, including being a part of the Organizing Committee of IEEE MAPCON 2025, many Distinguished Microwave Lecturer (DML) programs, international workshops, and various humanitarian technology projects as a part of MTT-S SIGHT CFP 2024, 2025 & 2026.
