Biography
Mr. Ruxuan Zhao received his B.Eng. degree from Shandong University (SDU). He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
His current research interests include high-efficiency and high-linearity power amplifiers, covering both hybrid and monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) designs for next-generation wireless communication applications.
Mr. Zhao actively contributes to the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S), serving as a Web Editor for IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques (TMTT) and IEEE Microwave and Wireless Technology Letters (MWTL). In addition, he is a member of the Electronic Information Committee and Standing Committees within the MTT-S. He also serves as a reviewer for TMTT and MWTL, and has published several papers in top-tier journals and conferences such as TMTT and IMS.
Mr. Zhao was a recipient of the First Place Award in the PCB-Based Bandpass Filter Student Design Competition at the 2025 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS), San Francisco, CA, USA; the Second Place Award in the High-Efficiency Power Amplifier for 220 MHz Student Design Competition at IMS 2026; and the Third Place Award in the Allen Katz High-Efficiency Power Amplifiers Competition at IMS 2026.
