Biography
Marco Mercuri received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electronic engineering from the University of Calabria, Italy, in 2006 and 2009, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from KU Leuven, Belgium, in 2015.
He was Researcher within Holst Centre / imec the Netherlands, from 2015 to 2021, working on biomedical applications of microwave/RF. He is currently Researcher at University of Calabria. His research interests include: microwave/RF radar systems and algorithms, contactless health monitoring, RIS-aided indoor radar monitoring, biomedical applications, inductive wireless power transfer, and wireless sensor networks.
Dr. Mercuri is currently serving as TPC Co-Chair in the 2023 IEEE International Microwave Biomedical Conference (IMBioC). He is the author and co-author of over 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and books. He holds several patents concerning radar systems, and he was the recipient of numerous IEEE awards. He is IEEE senior member.
