Hsien-Chin Chiu received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the National Central University, Chungli, Taiwan, in 1998 and 2003, respectively. During 2003-2004, he was with the WIN Semiconductors Corporation, Taoyuan, Taiwan, where he was engaged in developing 6-inch GaAs pHEMTs and related integrated circuits. Since June 2004, he has been with the faculty team of the Electronics Engineering Department, Chang Gung University, Taoyuan. From 2012, he also served as the Director of High-Speed Intelligent Communication Research Center, CGU. He has authored or co-authored over 200 SCI journal publications. His research interests include the microwave, millimeter wave devices and integrated circuits, GaAs/GaN RF HEMTs fabrication and modeling, GaN power devices. He was invited to join the publicity and marketing team of Adcom Committees Organization in IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society. He is a senior member of IEEE. Since Aug 2020, he joined UMC technology development 5th division as a senior director where he was in charge of compound semiconductor electronic device developments. From 2022, he was transferred to UMC subsidiary company Wavetek Microelectronics Corporation for compound semiconductor product strategic management and technology development.
