Dr. Hsien-Chin Chiu was born in Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. He received the B.S. degree and the Ph.D degree in electrical engineering from National Central University, Chungli, Taiwan, in 1998 and 2003, respectively. After he received the Ph.D degree, he joined WIN Semiconductors Corp., Tao Yuan, Taiwan, where he was engaged in researching and developing 6-inch GaAs pHEMTs and related microwave integrated circuits. In June 2004, he joined in the Electronics Engineering Dept. of Chang Gung University as an Assistant Professor where he directs the High Speed Device and Millimeter-Wave Circuits Laboratory, and he has been a Full Professor since 2010. His research interests include the microwave, millimeter wave integrated circuits, GaAs and GaN FETs fabrication and modeling. From 2012, he also served as the director of High Speed Intelligent Communication Research Center in CGU. He was invited to join the publicity and marketing team of Adcom Committees Organization in IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society. He has authored or coauthored more than 200 SCI journal publications. Dr. Chiu is a member of Phi Tau Phi and senior member of IEEE. Since Aug 2020, he joined UMC technology development 5th division as a senior director where he was in charge of compound semiconductor electronic device developments.
