Biography

Fabian Lurz (S’13–M’20) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in information and communication
technology and the Dr.-Ing. degree from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU), Erlangen, Germany, in 2010, 2013, and 2019, respectively. He joined the Institute for Electronics Engineering, FAU, as a Research Assistant, in 2013, and headed the Research Group Circuits, Systems and Hardware Test from 2017 to 2020. Since June 2020, he has been working as a Senior Engineer and a Research Group Leader with the Institute of High-Frequency Technology, Hamburg University of Technology, Hamburg, Germany. His current research interests include microwave circuits and system, especially for low-cost and low-power metrology applications. He was a recipient of the First Prize of the High Sensitivity Radar Student Design Competition of the IEEE International Microwave Symposium in 2014, 2017, and 2018, respectively, and the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Graduate Fellowship Award in 2016.
