Bishnu Patra

Bishnu Patra received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering (Microelectronics) from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, in 2021. Until 2025, he worked as a Research Scientist at Intel Corporation. Since January 2026, he has been working as a Senior Research Scientist at Microsoft Quantum, focusing on cryogenic CMOS circuits for quantum computing applications.
Dr. Patra was a co recipient of the 2022 IEEE CICC Best Paper Award, the 2020 IEEE ISSCC Jan Van Vessem Award for Outstanding European Paper, and the 2019–2020 IEEE SSCS Predoctoral Achievement Award. He currently serves as a Technical Committee Member of the IEEE MTT S Quantum Information Systems and Applications Committee.
