Dr. Anis Ben Arfi received his PhD from the University of Calgary in 2019 and currently works at Analog Devices in Ottawa where he focuses on 5G Wireless Systems and digital processing algorithms. Anis has been involved in IEEE humanitarian technology since 2014. He found his passion volunteering with the IEEE MTT-S, and served as the 2015 IEEE Southern Alberta MTT-S vice-chair. From 2018, Ben Arfi has been actively volunteering IEEE MTT-S Young Professionals and IEEE MTT-SIGHT and has been instrumental in organizing events, encouraging projects as well as giving lectures. Anis is currently the treasurer of IEEE MTT-S Ottawa Section chapter , and helps coordinate the IEEE MTT-S Distinguished Microwave Lecturers program. Anis has participated in several national and international events and conferences and has won prestigious awards.
