September 2024 Issue
The September issue of the IEEE Microwave Magazine is out! And this issue is a Breadth of the MTT issue, which means our features are selected to show off the diversity of research in the MTT. And in this issue we have everything from wireless power delivery to reconfigurable circuits to absorbing microwaves to advances in radars. We also have a great set of columns to let you know what is happening in the society and give you something to think about.
To start you really should check out the Editor’s Desk column where you will learn a lot about this issue. The President’s Column reminds us how international we are with 58% of members being outside North America. Our MGA News covers our Islamabad chapter having an event for networking students and professionals. Diversity & Inclusion is a big part of the IEEE and our Women in Microwaves column covers the WIE session at WPTCE2024 in Kyoto, Japan. For our social columns we also have another In Memoriam. Please take a minute to read about the remarkable career of Dr. Ronald Posner.
We really enjoy thinking and discussing. Just ask anyone who has been to an IMS. MicroBusiness is one of our thinking columns. And it asks: “What have we done?” by having so much electronic communication. Our Microwave Surfing examines metrics for our civilization in the light of extraterrestrial life. Next, part of our technical evolution is the development of new books. This month our Book/Software Reviews column examines Fenn’s Electromagnetics and Antenna Technology book. Another aspect of our technical evolution is new products. Our New Products column takes a tour of 67 GHz connectors, attenuators, planar transformers and the latest oscilloscopes. Finally, our Enigmas, etc. column examines curved arc lengths in the impedance plane.
As always, check out the Conference Calendar.
