Biography

Dr. Mousumi Roy is presently a Visiting Researcher at Arizona State University, USA, where her work focuses on system analysis in RIS-based communication systems. She received her B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, India, and her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Communication Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK.

Dr. Roy brings over fifteen years of industry and research experience in RF and microwave engineering, spanning system architecture, front-end design, low-noise receiver design, phased-array architectures, UWB radar and localization, and coexistence analysis in complex wireless environments. She has contributed to productization efforts across commercial and high-reliability applications, with a focus on translating advanced research into scalable, deployable solutions. In her most recent role, she served as Senior Manager of Systems Engineering and Architecture in Qorvo, leading system architecture, standards and algorithm development for UWB connectivity and radar sensing platforms.

Dr. Roy is a Senior Member of IEEE and is actively involved in the Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) as a volunteer.
