The WMM Workshop at IMS 2025 in San Francisco organized by Alexander Ruderer and Thomas Ussmueller brought together leading researchers and industry experts for a full-day event titled “Recent Advances in Full-Duplex Techniques for Wireless Communication and Sensing Systems.” The workshop covered the full spectrum of self-interference cancellation across propagation, analog, and digital domains, with presentations spanning topics such as digital cancellation algorithms for various modulation formats, CMOS simultaneous transmit and receive front-ends, in-band full-duplex phased array systems, and adaptive RF front-ends. Further talks addressed advanced duplex architectures for MIMO systems, GaN-based integrated transceiver front-ends, full-duplex FMCW radar systems, and the practical challenges of implementing full-duplex in modern 6G base stations.
