Biography
Rafal Lech was born in Elblag, Poland, in 1977. He received the M.Sc.E.E., Ph.D. (with honors) and D.Sc. degrees from the Gdansk University of Technology, Gdansk, Poland, in 2001, 2007 and 2018, respectively. He is currently an associate professor and vice chair of the Department of Microwave and Antenna Engineering, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, Gdansk University of Technology.
His main research interests are electromagnetic wave scattering, numerical methods, filter design, complex materials, metamaterial applications at microwave frequencies, electromagnetic analysis of periodic structures, and antenna design.
Dr. Lech is a senior member of the IEEE since 2017. He is also a co-founder of Microwave and Radiolocation Foundation MIKON, which main aim is to support dissemination of research, teaching and organization results in the areas of microwave and antenna technology, radars, radio communications and related domains.
