Biography
Osman Ceylan (M’10–SM’20) received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. From 2009 to 2015, he served as a teaching assistant for analog electronics and microwave engineering courses at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, while also working as the administrative assistant at the RF Electronics Laboratory. During his Ph.D. studies, he spent a year as a visiting researcher at the University of Tokyo and JAXA, supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), which also fully funded his M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies. He has also received multiple awards for his contributions to student design contests both domestically and internationally.
After completing his Ph.D. in 2015, Dr. Ceylan joined Ampleon (The Netherlands, formerly NXP RF Power Division) as a Senior Engineer, focusing on load-modulated amplifiers and high-power radio frequency devices. Since 2019, he has been with Maury Microwave, Ontario, CA, where he currently serves as the Lead Solutions Specialist. In this role, he also supervises the Customer Success Team, supporting customers worldwide and providing solutions for challenging high-frequency large signal measurement requirements and noise parameters. His current research interests include advanced semiconductor device characterization, behavioral modeling, and measurement methods using mixed-signal active load-pull techniques.
Dr. Ceylan is the elected Section Vice-Chair of IEEE Foothill, CA, USA. His fascination with analog electronics began in middle school, inspiring a lifelong passion for engineering. He actively participates in STEM initiatives, mentors microwave engineering students, and supervises student projects globally.
