Biography
Neelam Prabhu Gaunkar is a research engineer at Intel Corporation. Prior to joining industry, Neelam received her Master’s (2014) and PhD (2018) in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University (ISU). Some of her research interests include applied electromagnetism, millimeter wave packaging, modeling and characterization of RF devices, sensors, biomagnetism and high-speed systems. Since 2014 she has published over 15 peer-reviewed articles, co-authored over 20 patent applications and given numerous conference presentations. She was awarded an IBM PhD Fellowship (2016-18) for her dissertation research, an ASNT (American Society for Non-Destructive Testing) Fellowship (2013-14), ISU’s Zaffarano Award for excellence in research (2018), and ISU Graduate Research (2018) and Teaching (2014) Excellence Awards.
