Biography
Marco Alfonso Vinueza Bustamante is an Ecuadorian Telecommunications Engineer (Class of 2026) from Escuela Politécnica Nacional, specialized in RF technologies, mobile networks, and wireless communication systems. As a newly graduated engineer, he combines strong academic training with hands-on experience in radio network planning and optimization through his work as an RF Engineering Trainee at Huawei, supporting 4G and 5G systems. He is the author of multiple IEEE-indexed publications and recipient of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) Summer Research Scholarship in 2025, recognizing his contributions to research in antennas and wireless technologies.
Marco holds several leadership roles within IEEE. He serves as SAC R9 Students Awards Committee Chair and Regional Coordinator of MTT-S in Region 9 for the Young Professionals Committee. He also served as IEEE MTT-S Student Ambassador in 2025 and 2026 and chaired the first joint AP-S/MTT-S/RFID Student Chapter in Latin America. He is actively seeking collaboration opportunities within Region 9 and internationally to strengthen research networks and advance RF and microwave engineering initiatives.
