Biography
Dr. Marc Franco is currently a Fellow with Qorvo (formerly RFMD) in the High-Performance Analog Research group in Greensboro, North Carolina.
He holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, and has over 25 years of experience in electronics, particularly in RF, microwave and millimeter wave design.
His current research interests are in the correction of distortion in communication systems, high efficiency RF power amplifiers and integrated modules for handset front ends.
He was previously the Advanced Products Development Leader with Linearizer Technology, Inc., where he developed digital and analog distortion correction devices. Prior to that, he was with Mach Electronics, where he designed digital and analog radio links, two way radios and paging transmitters.
Dr. Franco is a regular presenter at the various international microwave symposiums. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, and a reviewer for the Radio and Wireless Symposium and the European Microwave Conference.
Marc is extra-class amateur radio operator N2UO, licensed since 1982, and active on 1.2 GHz Earth-Moon-Earth communications. He only uses radio equipment of his own design and manufacture.
