Biography
Mahdi Javid (Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, AZ, USA, in 2015 and 2021, respectively. In 2014, he was with the Research and Development Team, Onsemi, Phoenix, AZ, USA, as a Scientist Intern for eight months. From September 2017 to January 2018, he was an RF Designer Intern with the IoT Team, Cypress Semiconductor, San Jose, CA, USA, where he worked on developing RF PAs for wireless transceivers. He is currently working as a Senior RF Design Engineer with Qorvo, Chandler, AZ, USA. His research interests include advanced design techniques for CMOS and III-V Power Amplifiers, RF and millimeter-wave transceivers, and chip-to-chip communication integrated-circuits. His research and academic achievements have been recognized through multiple awards and fellowships, including the IEEE MTT-S’s Ph.D. Student Sponsorship Initiative in 2016, the IEEE Phoenix Section Student Scholarship in 2017, and the IEEE MTT-S Graduate Student Fellowship in 2019. From 2016 to 2019, he was the Chair of the IEEE Young Professionals, Phoenix Section.
