Biography

Kuiwen Xu was born in Jiang Xi, China. He received the in Electronics and Information Engineering from Hangzhou Dianzi University, Hangzhou, China, in 2009 and his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Information and Electronic Engineering at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, 2014. From 2012 to 2013, he was a visiting Ph.D. Student in Electrical and Computer Engineering of National University of Singapore, Singapore (NUS).

In 2014, he joined the Huawei Technologies Company, Ltd., Hangzhou as a senior researcher in the Lab of Wireless Technology. Since 2015, he joined the Department of Electronics and Information in Hangzhou Dianzi University, Hangzhou, where he is currently a professor. He was invited to the State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, as a Visiting Professor, in 2018. His team focus on the electromagnetic inverse problems and non-contact measurement application.  He has authored or co-authored more than 80 technical papers published in international journals and presented at conferences.

Dr. Xu was a recipient of the Young Scientist Award from the 2022 International Symposium of the International Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society in China (ACES-China 2022). He has been a member of organizing committees of more than 15 conferences, serving as a Technical Programmers Committee (TPC) Chair. He is an Associated Editor of Electronic Letters (EL) of IET and IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and remote sensing.

His research interests include electromagnetic inverse problems, RF measurement and microwave imaging, and AI-inspired inverse design of RF devices.
