Biography

Hao Wang (S’16, M’22) received the B.S. degree in communication engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2011, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Columbia University, New York, NY, USA, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Davis, Davis, CA, USA, in 2021. His research interest is low-power and high-performance RF/mmWave/THz integrated system design, with specialties on PLL-based frequency synthesizer, radar, and communication transceiver. He joined MediaTek USA Inc. in 2022, investigating on new technologies of Wi-Fi and 5G-mmWave transceiver IC design.

From 2013 to 2015, he was with Silicon Laboratories, Nashua, NH, USA, designing ultra-low-jitter phase-locked loop (PLL) based clock products. From 2015 to 2016, he was the Director of Engineering and the Chief IC Designer of FunfulTech, Beijing, China, developing Internet-of-Things (IoT) focused CMOS & MEMS integrated circuit (IC) products.

Dr. Wang serves as a Technical Reviewer for multiple IEEE journals including the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON MICROWAVE THEORY AND TECHNIQUES (TMTT), the IEEE JOURNAL OF SOLID-STATE CIRCUITS (JSSC), the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON CIRCUITS AND SYSTEMS I AND II (TCAS-I and II), the IEEE JOURNAL OF MICROWAVES, and the IEEE ACCESS. He also serves as an Affiliate Member of IEEE MTT-S Technical Committee. He is a recipient of the NSF Student Conference Registration Award (2021) from NSF, and the Dissertation Writing Fellowship (2021), the Graduate Summer Research Fellowship (2020), the Business Development Fellowship (2019), the SoohooLee Endowed Fellowship (2018), the Graduate Research Fellowship (2016), all from the University of California at Davis, and the Silicon Labs Superhero Award (2015) from Silicon Laboratories Inc.
