Biography
Dr. François Rivet is a tenured Associate Professor at the Bordeaux Institute of Technology (Bordeaux INP), where he has served since June 2010. He received his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Bordeaux in 2005 and 2009, respectively. His research focuses on the design of Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFICs) at the IMS Laboratory, the University of Bordeaux’s microelectronics research center.
In 2014, he founded and led the Circuits and Systems (CAS) research team, advancing RFIC, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuit design. His work has resulted in 20 patents, numerous publications in top-ranked journals and international conferences, and multiple Best Paper Awards, including the Software Defined Radio Forum, Journées Nationales Micro-ondes, IEEE LASCAS, and AVIC.
Dr. Rivet plays a significant role in the broader research community. He serves on numerous Technical Program Committees and Steering Committees for flagship IEEE conferences (e.g., RFIC, ESSERC, ICECS, LASCAS) and has served as General Chair of IEEE RFIC Symposium in 2025 (San Francisco). Since 2024, he has been a Member-at-Large on the Board of Governors of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and holds editorial and leadership roles within IEEE CASS. Since 2026, he has served as Chair of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) Technical Committee 15 (MTT-5 TC-15).
