Biography
Dibin Mary George received the B.Sc. degree in Electronics with Computer Hardware from
Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India, in 2008, the M.Sc. degree in Electronics Science from
Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kerala, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in
Microwave Electronics from CUSAT in 2019. From 2010 to 2013, she was a Project Assistant at
the International School of Photonics, CUSAT. In 2015, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at the
University of Kent, Canterbury, U.K. From 2021 to 2022, she served as a Guest Lecturer at
Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha, India, and as Physics Faculty at MA Academy, Kerala. In 2023 she
was a Senior Project Associate at the National Aerospace Laboratory, Bangalore, India. Since
2024, she has been a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and
Computer Engineering, University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, U.S.A.
Dr. George research interests include antennas, substrate integrated waveguides (SIW), epsilonnear-zero (ENZ) metamaterials, metasurfaces, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, ultra-wideband
biomedical antennas, phased array antennas and optical power splitters/combiners. She has
contributed as a reviewer for more than 46 research works, including proposals for the U.S.
National Science Foundation (NSF), NASA, and the Department of Energy (DOE), as well as
leading journals and conferences. She has been recognized with several awards, including the
KSCSTE Research Fellowship (2012), UGC-NET Lectureship (2012). She was elevated to IEEE
Senior Member in 2024 and is currently an Affiliate Member of the IEEE MTT-S Technical
Committee 4 (Microwave Passive Components and Transmission Line Structures). She is also the
Editor of the IEEE Western Region of Puerto Rico Magazine
