Biography
Carolina Tienda was born in Málaga. She received the Telecommunication Engineer degree from the Universidad de Málaga (UMA), Spain, in October 2005, and the Telecommunication Ph.D. degree from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain, in March 2012.
Carolina has worked as RF Antenna Engineer for several institutions like UMA, INDRA Espacio, UPM, ESA (ESTEC), DLR (Oberpfaffenhofen) and Airbus Defence and Space (Stevenage) where she currently works. Among her activities, she has developed software tools for the analysis and design of reflectarray, phased array and parabolic reflector antennas based on Digital Beam Forming (DBF) techniques for beam scanning, shaped beam, pencil beam and multibeam applications. Her current activities include the development of software tools for the analysis and design of multibeam parabolic reflector antennas based on DBF techniques and reflectarray dual offset configuration for multibeam applications.
