Biography
Ms. Baisakhi Bandyopadhyay is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in RF and Microwave Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, under the Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) programme. She received her Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, in 2017. After completing her M.E., she joined Jadavpur University as a Junior Research Fellow in an ISRO-sponsored project on waveguide slotted arrays, followed by her role as a Project Assistant in a Government of India RUSA project focusing on channel characterization for 5G systems. She was awarded the CSIR-Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) in 2022. In 2023, she received the Second Position for the Student Best Paper Award at IEEE MAPCON. In 2024, she received the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) Fellowship, the TICRA Travel Grant for EuCAP, and the Daneshmand Mohajegan Grant. Most recently, in 2025, she was honored with the prestigious IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) Graduate Fellowship. She also serves as a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation (TAP), IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (AWPL), and IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility (TEMC).
