Biography

Andreas Link, an experienced expert in the field of acoustic BAW and SAW filters, hails from Regensburg, Germany. He holds both an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, having received his degrees in 2004 and 2007, respectively.

 During his doctoral studies, Andreas focused on novel techniques to suppress spurious modes in BAW resonators. 

 In his current role as an Engineering Director at Qorvo, Andreas continues to make noteworthy contributions to the field of acoustic BAW and SAW filters. His professional endeavors include conducting extensive research, exploring innovative design methods to improve performance, and advancing simulation tools. He has a keen interest in the co-design of acoustic filter components within RF front-end modules, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize filter integration with elements such as PAs, switches and LNAs.

Andreas has been supporting  several MTT TC-6 student design competitions, actively encouraging and mentoring aspiring engineers. His commitment to sharing knowledge is evidenced by his published papers and articles in publications associated with IEEE. In addition, Andreas has been awarded over 10 patents, demonstrating his innovative mindset and expertise in developing novel solutions in the field of acoustic BAW and SAW filters.
