Biography
Andrea Arias-Purdue, Ph. D., is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at HRL Laboratories, Malibu, CA. Prior to joining HRL, she was with Teledyne Scientific in Thousand Oaks, CA. She received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from California State University, Fresno, CA, USA, and the M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), Santa Barbara, CA, USA. Dr. Arias-Purdue has over ten years of experience in high-power semiconductor device design and yield improvement for high voltage and high-frequency applications, including novel N-polar GaN devices, as well as III–V power amplifier MMIC design. Her research interests include high power millimeter-Wave GaN HEMT development, efficiency enhancement techniques for broadband operation and device to sub-system design automation.
