Biography

Adnan Basir Patwary is a Senior Electrical Engineer, RF Antenna, at Globus Medical, Inc., where he develops antennas and RF systems for next-generation biomedical devices. He received his B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh, in 2017, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas, USA, in 2024 and 2025, respectively. He was a Graduate Research Assistant with the Integrated Biomedical RF Circuits and Systems Laboratory (IBioRFCASL) at UT Dallas. His research interests include antenna design, electromechanical beam steering and beamforming, waveform engineering, wave propagation modeling in complex media, and CMOS RF transmitter design for ultrawideband and mmWave communication and radiative wireless power transfer.

He is the recipient of the 2022 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Student Travel Grant, first place in the Student Research Competition at the 2024 Texas Symposium on Wireless and Microwave Circuits and Systems, and second place in the Student Paper Competition at the 2025 National Radio Science Meeting. He serves as the Regional Coordinator for Region 2 of the IEEE MTT-S Young Professionals. He also served as Chapter Chair of the IEEE AP-S/MTT-S Joint Student Chapter at The University of Texas at Dallas during 2024–2025.
