MTT-S 2023 3rd AdCom Meeting (AM3) in Porto, Portugal

We are thrilled to invite you to the IEEE MTT-S 2023 3rd AdCom Meeting (AM3) in beautiful Porto, Portugal! The event will take place from September 22-24, 2023, following the 2023 European Microwave Week (EuMW 2023) in Berlin, Germany. To ensure a smooth journey, we’ve compiled the following travel recommendations:

For Attendees Coming from the EuMW2023 in Berlin, Germany

We recommend flying directly to Porto with budget airline Ryanair. Book your flight here. Upon arrival at Porto Airport (OPO), use Uber or a taxi for transportation to your hotel, which should cost around €16.

For Attendees Coming from other locations

Please consider flying into either Porto Airport (OPO) or Lisbon Airport (LIS).

Porto Airport: From Porto Airport, take an Uber or taxi to your hotel for approximately €16.

Lisbon Airport: From Lisbon, you can choose between flying to Porto (though flights may occasionally experience delays) or taking a high-speed train. Direct flights require about 1 hour, plus airport security time, while train journeys last around 3 hours.

Train tickets and schedules are available here. After arriving at Lisbon Airport, use the Metro, a taxi, or Uber to reach the “Gare do Oriente” train station, a brief 10-15 minute trip costing roughly €10. At the station, visit the first floor to buy a ticket or head to the third floor to board your train if you’ve already purchased one. We suggest reserving a seat on the high-speed ALFA train with a 1st class comfort ticket for around €30. Upon arriving in Porto, use Uber or a taxi to reach your hotel, with an estimated cost of €12.
