IEEE and MTT-S Awards serve several purposes:
- They are an expression of recognition for outstanding contributions to the art and science of electrical and electronics engineering, – for the benefit of humanity
- They are an incentive to youth to emulate excellence, and
- They are a personalized recognition of the achievements of the profession and its members to the public.
- They recognize special instances, or continuing evidence of noteworthy service to IEEE or any of its organizational units.
The MTT Society supports these purposes both at the Institute and Society level. We encourage you to explore the details of IEEE and MTT-S Awards, including award description, eligibility, and nomination procedures, and to become part of the awards and recognition process.
IEEE FELLOWS
The IEEE member Grade of Fellow is conferred by the Board of Directors upon a person with an extraordinary record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. The total number selected in any one year does not exceed one-tenth of one percent of the total voting Institute membership.
We encourage you to become familiar with the steps to become a Fellow and participate in the Fellow election process.
