IEEE Microwave Magazine – February 2020

About the journal

The February issue of the Microwave Magazine is out! The features in this issue cover everything from mature technology to promises of the future. And we have a final Student Competition paper from IMS 2019 on Doherty amplifier optimization. Not to mention we have an Application Note on mixed signal characterization. I think the features in this issue are particularly useful. We have an overview of technological maturity which everyone should read as well as articles which look at the development of superregenerative receivers and coupled lines. And a survey of graphene gives a vision of the future. But this quick look is only a taste, check out the Editor’s Desk to find out what is really going on with these features and in this issue.

Don’t forget the columns in this issue. The columns cover what has been happening in the society and a number of thought provoking commentaries. The president’s column will give you an excellent overview of running the MTT Society. Our MicroBusiness column is always thoughtful and in this issue you get to ponder which situations make you happy about positive or negative feedback. Our columns also tour the globe with conference reports and news about Russia. Another very thoughtful column is Women in Microwaves. The thoughts on work-life balance in this column are useful for everyone. And for fun there are deep engineering thoughts as our Enigmas column revisits the puzzle from the January issue. Enjoy the issue!

And as always don’t forget the Conference Calendar!
