Participate in IMS 2009

IMS2009 will be in Boston, 8-12 June. Mark your calendar, and make plans to participate. There are many ways to participate:

  • Be an exhibitor. Make sure your company has signed up for the largest and most successful trade show in the field. I’ve been an exhibitor, and it’s rewarding at many levels.
  • Submit a paper. The deadline for regular paper submissions is 8 Dec, so you have plenty of time. Now is the time to start planning what to submit.
  • Submit a MicroApps presentation. If you are an exhibitor, this is a special forum to make a technical presentation with a significant commercial component. In 2009 the MicroApps Theater will be significantly upgraded and will be in a prominent location.
  • Enter a Student Competition. If you are a student you can submit a paper for the Student Paper Competition and you can enter one of the Student Design Competitions.
  • Attend. Even if you aren’t able to exhibit, submit or compete, IMS is an event you should not miss. We promise to have an outstanding technical program with Workshops, Short Courses, Technical Sessions, Panel and Rump Sessions, Special and Focus Sessions and more. Meet all your commercial suppliers and partners in the most comprehensive RF and Microwave trade show in the world. Participate in a myriad of Social activities and network with over 10,000 other attendees.
  • Virtually Participate. We will have options for virtual participation for people that attend and people that can’t. No longer will you have to regret missing a workshop or session because of a conflict. Look for details in a future issue. We look forward to seeing you in Boston this June, and to seeing your submissions long before that!

First IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series (IMWS2009) in Region 9

The IEEE MTT-S Administrative Committee (AdCom) has recently passed a resolution of its Transnational Committee to create and develop the IEEE MTT-S International Workshop Series (IMWS), which will complement the existing workshops of the MTT-S International Microwave Symposia. The purpose of this new platform is to boost and promote MTT-S technical and educational activities as well as MTT-S international exchanges and collaborations. Several workshops covering different topics of MTT-S interest will be developed each year at a worldwide scale, spreading in various continents and countries. The First IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series in Region 9 (IMWS2009-R9), on Signal Integrity and High-Speed Interconnects, will be held during February 19-20, 2009, in Guadalajara, Mexico. Accepted and presented papers will be published on-line in IEEE Xplore. Paper submission deadline has been extended to November 3, 2008.
