Technical Committee MTT-23

RFIC

Mission Statement

Promote the Research and Engineering of Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFICs)

RFICs are the heart of all wireless and high frequency wired communication systems. The evolution of the RFIC has gone from a few transistors that replaced some discrete RF devices to a whole RF system on a chip. Today RFICs contain all the RF, analog and supporting digital circuitry needed by most systems. It is the mission of the MTT-23 Technical Committee to promote the development of RFIC technologies, circuits and systems. This subcommittee will evaluate new developments and advancements in the field of RFICs. New technologies, circuits and integration techniques to achieve constantly increasing need for higher complexities and performance of wireless systems will be monitored and reviewed. MTT-23 will cooperate with The RFIC Symposium Technical Committee and other MTT-S Technical Committees to ensure that MTT members get full benefit of their combined strengths in this and related field. Responsibilities of this Subcommittee are as follows:

  • Build and manage a website to describe the Committee and provide a forum for information exchange
  • Support review of papers submitted for MTT publications. Promote education through tutorial articles
  • Sponsor special issues of MTT Transactions in RFIC centric areas, including but not limited to: highly integrated IC’s for wireless applications, transceivers, power amplifiers, signal generation, modeling of active and passive devices/circuits
  • Securing competent papers for MTT publications Initiation and popularization of standards
  • Sponsor and co-sponsor technical meetings, conference sessions, focused sessions, panel sessions and workshops at conferences and symposia organized or supported by MTT
  • Collaborate with the RFIC Symposium Technical Program committee to promote and enhance the Symposium
  • Collaboration with other Technical Committees of MTT Society, as well as with Technical Program Committees of international and national conferences of interest to MTT Society and its members
  • Review and approve/reject candidate Symposium Workshops Sponsor regional and other Technical meetings
  • Sponsor best student paper awards at RFIC Symposium

The Committee consists of a number of experts in the field representing industry, government and academia from around the world.
